06-Apr-08	ROUGH START FOR CK The night was finished before it ever got started for the Cody Key Racing Team, Friday night at Plaza Park Raceway, in Visalia, Ca. As the team checked the car over time and time again prior to hitting te track, it proved not to matter at all. What was hoped to be a great start of the season, turned into a night mare. As Cody hit the track for the first time in 2008, everything seemed normal. He went out for wheel packing, got some heat in the motor, tested the throttle a few times, and then came into the pits. As he entered his pit, the team checked the car over one more time before hot laps. Everything looked good. CK headed out for hot laps, still looking good. The yellow flag remained out as the field of cars paced around the track for another couple of laps. After the cars were all on the track, the green flag flew. Cody gassed it up out of turn four and then.............. disaster struck. As he entered turn one, the motor suddenly went up in flames. An oil fire had errupted, as a rod came apart and shot through the front portion of the engine. Cody pulled into the infield, got out and inspected the motor, and in disbeliefe, realized his night was finished. The team, unfortunately is a lower budget one motor team. They are currently looking for sponsorship help to get them back on the track before the next race scheduled for two weeks from now in Visalia, Ca., Plaza Park Raceway. 03-Apr-08	CK GEARS UP FOR OPENING NIGHT After giving the car its final touch on Thursday evening, the Cody Key Racing team is geared up and ready to go racin'. This new beautiful, Kevin Sharrah graphiced car, was put into the trailer, and and strapped down for its next trip south on hwy 99 to Plaza Park Raceway, in Visalia, Ca. Cody Key, will be piloting this big horsepower machine on Friday night. He is more ready than ever and is very excited for his very busy 2008 season. Cody will be racing as much as his schedule will allow. As many of you know, Cody is also an avid ice hockey player, and a extremely good one at that. He will be racing on most Friday nights at Visalia, and from there heading even further south into L.A. where he will be playing hockey on most Saturdays and Sundays, with the exception of some off weekends where he will take advantage of those to pick up on more racing. But with all that aside, first things first. CK is ready and focused on one thing for now, and thats taking home the first trophy of the year. You can guarantee that he will definitely put on a great show going for it.
12-Mar-08	CODY KEY RACING UNVEILS NEW SCHEME FOR THE 2008 SEASON (click to view scheme) Today at the race shop of Cody Key Racing, an e-mail was recieved of the new scheme for the 2008 season. With the OK from Cody's hero, Tim Kaeding, Cody Key Racing chose on duplicating Kaeding's car with only changing the number and sponsors. The design was originaly done by Yak Graphics for Kaeding's car. Now, for the mini version of Kaeding's car, which will be drivin by 11 year old Cody Key, has been recreated and re-arranged by Kevin Sharrah, of Kevin Sharrah Designs. We all will be looking forward to see Cody imitate Tim, and "Stand On the gas".
